KK Engineering Consultancy delivers design, review, and engineering support across power & renewable energy systems and mechanical & product design — one team, the full drawing set.
KK Engineering Consultancy was founded to bring more than one engineering discipline under a single roof. Rather than staying limited to one vertical, the practice is built around the people delivering it — engineers with hands-on, project-tested experience across solar EPC and electrical systems on one side, and precision mechanical and transmission design on the other. That range is what lets the same consultancy support a solar plant's SLD one week and a gearbox drawing the next.
6+ years designing rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems — plant layouts, single-line diagrams, structural and electrical design compliant with IS, IEC, and MNRE norms for Indian utility-scale and commercial plants, alongside NEC and AHJ-compliant residential and commercial plan sets for the US market.
5+ years in transmission and powertrain design for the tractor and automotive industry — gear train and shaft design, clutch systems, casting & forging components, and GD&T-driven validation.
Understand the site, the load, the constraints — layout study, feasibility, and requirement mapping before a single line is drawn.
SLDs, protection and structural studies, gear and component design, BOQs — engineering documentation built to IS/IEC/ASME standards.
Procurement support, vendor evaluation, inspection review, and prototype or site-level validation through to sign-off.
Most engineering support comes fragmented — a design office for layouts, a separate desk for calculations, another for compliance paperwork. KK Engineering Consultancy was built to close those gaps: one team that carries a project from concept through detailed design, procurement documentation, and validation.
The scope is deliberately not fixed to one industry. Today that means solar EPC and electrical systems on one side, and transmission and mechanical product design on the other — the practice is structured to take on adjacent verticals as they come.
On the solar side, the team has delivered 100+ KUSUM solar projects across multiple states in India, from single-line diagram through site-level execution.
One team owns design through commissioning support — no handoffs between a layout office, a protection consultant, and a documentation desk.
Design queries and drawing revisions get answered by the engineer who owns the project, not routed through a support queue.
Every drawing and BOQ is checked against IS/IEC codes before it leaves our desk, cutting rework at inspection and audit stage.
Structured to take on new sites and new verticals without renegotiating how the engineering relationship works.
Engineering support across design, procurement, and site — organised the way a drawing set is organised, so nothing gets handed off without context.
Plant layouts, DC/AC sizing, cable and busbar design, single-line diagrams, and site-level design coordination across PV plants.
Relay coordination, CT/PT selection and sizing, switchgear specification, fault current studies, and busbar heat-dissipation checks.
Capacity and degradation modelling, augmentation planning, round-trip efficiency analysis, and vendor specification review.
220 kV and lower-voltage switchyard design, protection SLDs, equipment sizing, and cost estimation for grid interconnection.
IO list development, Modbus register mapping, device integration planning across inverters, meters, and monitoring systems.
BOQ and RFQ preparation, QAP gap analysis, inspection report review, and standards-compliant documentation for procurement.
Conceptual transmission layouts, gear train and shaft design, H-type shifting mechanisms, and clutch release systems for tractor and automotive platforms.
Gear and shaft design calculations, bearing selection and load analysis, and design validation against operating conditions.
Component design for casting and forging routes with DFM/DFA considerations, optimised for manufacturability and cost.
Tolerance stack-up analysis, GD&T-driven 2D detailing, CAE coordination, and prototype/rig validation support.
Actual engineering deliverables — single-line diagrams, foundation drawings, layouts, and GA sheets prepared for real EPC projects. Client and project-identifying details have been removed from all drawings shown here.
Whether it's a full plant design or a single technical review, describe the scope and we'll confirm feasibility and timeline.
